Of course slavery is wrong and was wrong. But let's not suggest that every slave owner in the 18th century was an evil heartless racist.
What about the black people who owned slaves? Racists?
Slavery was not just based on race. It was based on class, status and on sex. Romans had slaves, Egyptians had slaves. Africans had slaves, South American Indians had slaves. But when George Washington did it, he becomes an evil troglodyte, unworthy of respect and certainly unworthy of Statues and praise.
And he is held as an example by America hating vermin like you, as the ultimate white supremacist. As the reason that America is systemically and irreparably and irredeemably racist to this very day.
