I agree 8-9 wins is about on par with what we have coming back. Losing the Thicker Kicker is huge. Two top flight CB are gone to the NFL. DT rotation is being rebuilt. Our OL was injury free last year.... bad breaks and injuries could derail us.
If COOK goes down we are a 6-7 win team.
But with that said the TP replacements have filled a lot of voids and the Offense is stacked with talent and experience. And the Defense could be solid if things break the right way with the TP players, new comers and veterans.
If we stay healthy and the Mizzou Curse is kept at bay by a Ozark Gypsy women I will soon be enlisting help from. Then We might well win 10 games or more.
