Rask is not as worldly as I am. he has had some connection to Putin and Russia may have contributed to his campaign throu organizations like NRA. Trump just didn't see any benefit to expanding Nato and pushing as war. I really think that Trump would prefer to not spend so much on military. Very similar to some progressive Democrats. It is a waste of money going to one special interest group. However, he learned that the first time he had no control. There was a huge military involvement in Ukraine when he was in office. he also had to add Pompeo and Bolton to his staff. (neocons)
