I will type this slowly and avoid big words for you.
The correct way to handle this:
1. Roll down window.
2. Get officer's attention.
3. Hey officer I am Scottie Scheffler is there any way I can get through?
4. Five minutes later he is sitting in the clubhouse
The wrong way:
1. Blow past police line
2. Refuse to stop
3. Just sit there when asked to exit the car.
90% of Americans would have no idea who this guy was if you say him in a room wearing a nametag. Once again the cop overreacted and will be painted as the villain but this whole incident could have been easily avoided if Scheffler had not been an idiot.
