traffic. I don't know if I would call this media unless you think sites like TMZ or other random blogs are part of the media.

There are so many news stories about what some random group of morons said on social media and trying to make it newsworthy to drive traffic.

And guess what? It worked. People are posting this around the web and the site and Yahoo are generating revenue off of it.
