They were discussing Aaron Rodgers and if he would be a distraction if the Jets were not winning this season. Wright said he thought Rodgers pod cast appearances could be a problem in the locker room around election time. He then tossed in that Butker's were too but he was just a kicker.

Why are only conservative points of view seen as problematic by those that cover sports? Wright is one of the biggest LeBron supporters on TV, I have never seen him suggest that LeBron's political beliefs could be a problem.

Rodgers and Butker both expressed personal beliefs on their own time and without in any way connecting them to their teams or the NFL. Progressive views are often done at press conferences, at team facilities often when in uniform.

While I express my political beliefs here I never do it at school or at any professional function. Everyone has the right to express their personal beliefs. But not on the company dime.
