College athletics seem to be in a new era, namely numbers (as in income and profits) seem to be the critical driver in conference decisions. So, what do the financial projections for the other conference members and the conference say?

In KU's case, the strength of the Jay Hawk basketball would give the conference a second "Kentucky" and probably assure more NCAA Tournament dollars.

And as far as the Civil War is concerned, the French and Germans have fought three "major" wars since 1865 . . ..
