The Big 10 has Rutgers vs. USC, Northwestern vs. Maryland, UCLA vs. Illinois.

To me it doesn't matter. I would not care if the SEC added Arizona State and Utah. If it eventually is going to be two huge conferences and a pro football type set up (NFC vs. AFC) it doesn't matter who is in your "conference." In the NFL would it really matter if the Dolphins were in the NFC and Seattle in the AFC?
