good team in today's market, you have to pay. The best way to win is to go get 2 or 3 very good players every year in the portal that could be starters to go along with your regular recruits. Your regular recruits are obviously getting paid too. This adds more mature players of the kind you need to fill in the gaps of your roster every year. If Missouri tries to low ball these players, we will never be in the top half of the SEC and will continue to rarely get in the tournament. We may not like this but this is the situation we are in. The exact same thing applies to football.
