Answering for Bruce and my original comment. You are not just executing a play that’s likely to be very close, but putting the play call at the discretion of the umpire. A good throw from second is possibly going to tail to the right and put the catcher into a place of collision.
There are many times you can try that play, but leading by 1 with two outs its not ideal. Its part of the reason Georgia calls the double steal.
