claiming hush money was a campaign expense and thus a crime that he didn't report it to the FEC. Ignoring that the FEC said the opposite and not only was Trump not charged federally for it he wasn't even fined for it.
They would have come after him exactly the same HAD he claimed it as a campaign expense and they would have argued the exact opposite to try and convict him.
