Not sure why people ignore politics in a highly politicized endeavor like the flagship PUBLIC U.
The MO GOP is choosing the leadership of Mizzou right now. I simply don’t buy narratives that the Curators are a bunch of DEI advocates or not in favor of outwardly Christian dudes like Drinkwitz and Veatch. Seems like the politics align. If you want alignment, I think MU now has it from the Gov, to the curators he appoints, to the high profile football coach and now the AD who outwardly profess GOP values. I’m not for it or against it just pointing out I don’t think DEI is a GOP priority so this narrative that Mizzou is currently DEI sensitive doesn’t jibe with the politics IMO.
