And we've beaten lots of .500 SEC teams that would have had a winning record if not for their loss to us.

Tennessee, for example, finished 4-4 last year because of their loss to MU, but was still ranked in the top 20.

There are only 8 SEC games per year, so any team we beat would then have to beat 5 or more of their 7 remaining SEC opponents to finish above 500 in league play — and with such a deep conference including Georgia and Alabama, that's very unlikely — even for a top 10 team like Mizzou in '23.

It's too bad we don't play in a conference like the Big Ten, considering how easily we beat Ohio State.
