At UPS --40/Jefferson when at UMSL for a year.
Two stories= one night driving home in front of Pruett-Igoe was shot as part of a gunfight between the locals and cops. My car wasn't hit but had to escape through a gas station on the corner. Cops were in the middle of Jefferson shooting back
Second story--the UPS drivers had P-I as a "no go zone". A supervisor said that the drivers had to go there and he would show them how. They got held up at gunpoint first day. No more deliveries to P-I
The place was a "no go zone" for a good reason
