The CEO of NPR admits reverence for the truth could distract from their mission. We had a Supreme Court Justice say in open argument the Fist Amendment, if taken literally, would "hamstring" the government's efforts to do what they wish to do.

It is not about thinking your views are morally superior. It is about what you are then willing to do to push those views.
