An ex-girlfriend's brother lives/lived in Augusta, not far from the course (less than a mile). He said they went on vacation during that week, locked their stuff in a closet, and rented out their house. He said the rent covered their vacation and two mortgage payments.

Which, is not quite 100k, but this is also back in 2013-2014 or so. Not sure if theirs was one of the houses Augusta National bought or not, it was a nice, small, older home that I think was a 3BR/2BA.
