Though they provided nothing. No idea why he didn't give their minutes to Pierce and prepare for the future but that's what happened. Don't let Wu try and tell you otherwise. And yes. I know he had injury/illness problems late. The fact is Gates leaned on those older guys and let them play through mistakes and Pierce was held to a much higher standard.
