CNBC announced that 35% of millionaires say ‘it’s going to take a miracle’ to be able to retire. Even the wealthy are worried about the state of retirement.

According to an article from ThinkAdvisor, 4 out of 5 Americans have no written financial plan for retirement. (That’s a little frightening)

The Employee Benefit Research Institute reported that 6 in 10 people retired sooner than they planned to. (The statistics say you won’t retire according to plan.)

The Employee Benefit Research Institute also discovered that just 4% of retirees are debt-free.

MassMutual conducted a quiz on social security knowledge. Two-thirds of near-retirees barely passed or completely failed the quiz.

According to the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, only 23% of baby boomers are “very” confident they will be able to fully retire with a comfortable lifestyle.

The Department of Health and Human Services reported that 70% of Americans age 65 and older will need long-term care at some point in their lives. (And that doesn’t come cheap.)

In an article by the Motley Fool, the average American has just $65,000 saved for retirement in 2022.

A survey by Northwestern Mutual discovered that Americans will now need $1.25 million to retire comfortably. That’s a 20% increase in just one year.
