In a thread below, he wrote:
"Rumor is Gonzaga will soon be joining the Big 12 as a basketball only member. Duke is also rumored."
Now, Gonzaga is believable. But Duke?... I needed some corroboration, and here's what turned out to be tmcats' source:

An article about the Big 12 "reportedly targeting ACC schools" like Duke, but the article says *nothing* about Duke (or any other ACC school) being interested in joining the Big 12.
So when tmcats' wrote
"gonzaga will soon be joining the Big 12... Duke is also rumored", what he *really* meant is "The Big 12 is rumored to be interested in Duke". And of course it is, along with UNC, Florida State, and all the other top assets of the ACC.
The reality is, Duke will follow UNC to either the B1G or SEC, when the ACC eventually collapses. But even *if* Duke were somehow left out of the P2 (B1G/SEC), they would join the Big East (along with other ACC orphans) before they join a conference with K-State & Baylor.
