Mizzou's stadium: 100 year old design with a glaring defect

The stadium was designed and built in the mid 1920's. It has at least one glaring defect.
The horizontal distance between the back of the seat boards in one row and the front of the seat boards in the next higher row is too small.
Both the east and west stands suffer this defect. The bottom line is you sit with your knees in the back of the person in front of you and the knees of the person behind you are in your back.
The only way to fix this problem is to reduce the number of rows in the East and West Stands. That's essentially rebuilding virtually the entire stadium.
This may not have been a problem when the stadium was designed in the 1920's, but as people have gotten taller, etc over the years . . ..
