You correlate the extremely complex question of the purpose of life to "wanting stuff". I don't. Again I go to Kant. Could every single person pursuing their own wants seriously be consider the purpose of life on this earth? I don't think so, but we disagree on that. I think there is far more to that question. This is not to say that one should be forced to march an unwanted march or perform tasks unwanted.
