RE: Those who left

Not a comprehensive list but based purely on memory those who left MU during Norm’a tenure included Kevin King, Steve Dangos, Lamont Turner, Lex Drum, Ted Mimlitz, Sean Teague, Michael Ingram, Steve Wallace (unfortunately an academic loss, he was really good and Norm liked him), Kirk Shawver, Travis Ford (who got along fine with Norm but Kentucky offered him a transfer after not recruiting him in high school), the Flying Aardvark, Mike Warzyniak, and a very good point guard whose name I can’t recall who left before the season started and had a good career and then played some in the NBA (sorry I can’t recall his name). Other than that guy, Steve Wallace and Travis Ford, I can’t think of anyone who went on to win titles or play pro ball. I know I left some folks out.
Compare those to those who transferred in: Henry Smith, Willie Smith, Clay Hohnson, James Clabon, Malcom Thomas, Jeff Strong, Julian Winfield, Paul O’Liney, Tyronn Lee and Dibi Ray (both played big in wins over the chickenhawks), and even that talented misfit Albert White. Norm had pretty good net success with the revolving door.
