which was a small step by step process for court decisions that went something like:

1. Decide what outcome you personally desire
2. Make up argument
3. Cite precedent and other arguments regardless of applicability
4. Hand down the desired outcome in Step 1


This isn’t word for word but it’s in the spirit of his post. This is exactly the case with R v D types on this board. Remember, the ends justify the means.
