if the BOC wants big time athletics that’s where the decision comes from. Does Miklasz think Bob Stull wanted admission standards for athletes “ within shouting distance of Harvard”? and the worst facilities in the country? but the curators changed during early 90s , and Larry Smith and Dan Devine came in and convinced them what needed to change. But it was the makeup of thev board of curators that changed so Missouri athletics took off during the Larry Smith era and carried over to the Pinkel era. That’s where the power is. It really has nothing to do with Alden, François Rhodes, or whoever..The Athletic Director is never the ultimate power when it comes to athletics
