there are many types of parvo virus but in dogs
its called canine parvovirus.
it is transmitted via a fecal oral cycle which literally means one dog ingests another's poop.
it causes vomiting and bloody diarrea because the virus eats the lining of the stomach and intestines.
It occurs mainly in young dogs ages 7 weeks to 6 months.
it is highly preventable by vaccinations.
vaccinations are given at 6, 8, 12 and 16 weeks in puppies
