I think that's fair. Gates looked pretty good when he coached an experienced team of transfers with two future pros. This season he has relatively little talent, both the transfers and the freshmen are of marginal to low quality. If Gates fails to turn things around next season, lets say .500 in the league and several games above overall, then we can send him packing. I'm guessing he won't be able to turn it around sufficiently.
