becoming contributors next year that is a bigger concern. Butler is very non physical and other than presenting a defensive obstacle around the rim with his height, has not really made much of an impact. Pierce has become essentially a non factor and no show to the point I wonder if he's returning. Robinson is the only recruit that looks ready to make a contribution but not sure he is a big minute player just yet.
From the year before, Shaw looks OK defensively but struggles offensively.
This team will need Bates plus a quality big from the portal (and an additional guard) and hopefully at least one of the freshmen make a significant contribution. And Tonje will be around too - he needs to live up to the hype.
