But getting to the tourney but not advancing should be the minimum expectation.

"overwhelming" no but from where we were it was definitely a successful direction.
This year derails that quite a bit. And since most top 100 freshmen don't significantly contribute until at least year two, we are in for another year like this.

Gates not playing the freshmen much this year means we will lose some of them and probably still be in this situation in 25-26 season.

...... Unless he can pick up the missing components in the portal and learn to coach
