Separation of church and state has nothing to do with not establishing a state religion. Extending some right to privacy into a federal right to abortions has nothing to do with law and everything with stretching the law to fit a desired narrative.
Fidelity to the law is the mission, and Scalia's quote was spot on. Check your personal preference at that the door. And if at times you aren't a bit bummed of what the law forces you to decide, you likely aren't doing the job you were placed there to do.
