supporters have asserted that parents should be free to buy & sell (transfer ownership of) their children on the open market as opposed to using government regulated adoption services.

Do you personally agree with them or do you think that would be a bad idea?

Surrogacy is where someone agrees to have someone else's child for them and then give them the child after the child is born. That is in no way analogous to selling one's child on the open market.

If you disagree, please explain.
