Just read this take on Bama by Bud Elliot of CBS Sports:

Bama weaseling into the playoff was, in hindsight, the worst thing that could have happened to the Tide.

Passing game was awful and the receivers took off for Texas & FSU.

Worse, it delayed Saban’s retirement announcement and created open portal season on the roster.
