homeowners, facility managers, and other property owners are making cost/benefit decisions based on what is good for "Big Oil". If solar panels had a better value proposition, China couldn't make them fast enough...but they don't, they take a lot of space, they are expensive, they aren't eco-friendly, their efficiency is guaranteed to degrade every year, they are expensive to maintain, most power companies make sure there is no ability to profit, and solar power is too expensive to store. None of that has anything to do with Big Oil.
