There is no presidential immunity in terms of criminal actions. That was a made up idea by Trump's people. President can be immune from some civil penalties, but not criminal. For me the leeway given to politicians in general and presidents in particular is an absurd stretch. One of Trump's people tried to claim that you could not hold a president accountable for any crimes if there were not already in place a conviction in an impeachment hearing. Preposterous. Only issue is how quickly this can be done with. Like Scotus doesn't even take the case.
