I don't understand the point of publicly "declaring for the draft" when you have no eligibility remaining. But, in today's world of social media, maybe there's a reason(?) Likes? Well-wishes? Opportunity to thank the fan base, coaches, teammates? Couldn't you do all of that without the part about "declaring for the draft?"
