2 years, so my mistake. So they'll have 2 years to witness the folly of guaranteeing bloated-record teams that will get shredded in the CFP, ala Tulane, or Liberty, etc. Then the outcry from say a team like Oregon who loses 1 game in the b10, but doesn't make the CCG. In a way, then, by guaranteeing shyt teams they've really mucked up the solution of going to 12 teams in the CFP. After this "probationary" period, wouldn't surprise me that it changes to the 12 best teams, regardless of CCG results. And more than likely in every season, that will exclude the mid-Majors teams, unless someone goes undefeated with an eye-popping big win against a top power conference team.
