The portal has dramatically reshaped the landscape.

I don't like seeing players become mercenaries, but I do like the monopoly that programs like Bama and Ohio State had on talent being broken.

The portal itself has become a skill coaches need to learn. Ignore it and you regress (or perish). Fortunately Drink has embraced it. Younger coaches might have an advantage in this regard...
