Vaccines proved a largely successful effort to stem the Covid Tide - and again, "Liberals" had nothing to do with it. As is was a govt reponse, yes the govt was involved.

War on Drugs - Reagan. War on Terror - Bush. Trade Wars ???

And the vaccine(s) did not cost the govt $10 Trillion ya putz.
