JG is willing to be the biggest buffoon, narcissist, and troll on the board in order to get people to respond to him.

If he were a decent person it would be pathetic. I doubt he's a decent person so it's just annoying. But he's hooked on the feeling of attention. He must have it and he's willing to suffer the slings and arrows of accurate commentary for it.
