And nowhere have I said Trump suggested bleach or disinfectant should be ingested. But he clearly states bringing some type of disinfectant to bear on the lungs to clear the lungs of covid (that's the context). Perhaps he had heard something from a medical doctor in a briefing and he should have kept his mouth shut because he clearly didn't grasp the concept and certainly made it sound like taking an injection of disinfectant. If he doesn't know what he's talking about he should shut the hell up - because he came across as a moron. And Trump's later comments to "clarify" are mostly irrelevant because it's an attempt to make a recovery, which he wouldn't have needed had his initial message not sounded so stupid.

And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."
