So in their mind the US and Christians must side with Israel or face God’s wrath. And with the founding of Israel, the clock was started on Jesus’ return, the Christian church will soon be yanked from Earth before a great tribulation will start culminating in Jesus coming back and kicking ass 7 years later.
While the author is right, it is an overwhelming majority of dispensationalists that hold an unwavering pro-Israel position.
Dispensationalism has long infected American politics. Billy Graham was a major proponent that had ties to many Presidential administrations and was involved in the National Pray Breakfast.
