On getting an ID

This is of course in Nevada, but I assume its the same in most States.
You have to show up every 8 years in person for renewal, and the process would be the same if you were getting a new ID.
Step 1) make an appointment. This will require a computer
and internet access of course, because nobody ever answers a phone at the DMV. The soonest "appointment" will be in 6 weeks.
Step 2) show up early for your appointment and then wait
another 3 hrs beyond the time of your "appointment" to get served. So in essence you have to take a day off
if you are working, or have someone wait for you if you
didn't have an ID to begin with.
step 3) make sure you signed your debit/credit card before showing it to the worker (honestly who the Hell really does that anyway?) or have cash. Now its not really damn expensive- but it ain't free neither.
step 4) wait 2 weeks for it to come in the mail.
Now is that all impossible? NO of course not. But if you did NOT have an ID and did not have a personal mode of transportation then it becomes pretty inconvenient to
accomplish all that. (Because you would need
1)social security card
2) an original birth certificate (no copies)
3) an original wedding certificate if you changed your name (no copies)
4) 2 pieces of mail delivered to your address ( too bad if you are homeless -or recently moved and didn't have any on hand.)
For those of you who can't imagine how that might be very very very difficult for some people- well thats the idea and it would be very difficult for the very people you would not want voting in the first place (iffen you hate democracy like one wing of the liberal party
