People here talked about how fast he was on that one sweep but the play was blocked, he had the burst, and the angle was there. Once it straightened out, the LB/DE was gaining.
I don’t really like this. Just talking straight facts makes it sound like we’re down on the kid. No way. He’s been a pretty consistently good player for us. And there’s usually a tradeoff, the 4.3 guys usually (not always) don’t run quite as tough. So as I said last night, maybe he’s not the best RB we’ve had over the years but he might be the best combo for his skill, the team around him, and the style of play the coaches are calling.
