a lot of people ignore the new testament because they cannot understand a sytem that rewards you just by beleiving. they do not think that it is fair that a drinker gets a reward just like them. Or an adulturer. many other examples. Same reason people do not like food stamps, or free medical care for everyone, education for everyone. if a person is struggling financially it is their fault and to hell with them.
