I get it - that particular poster though

Is full of clichés and stuff from 100 years ago that has nothing to do with what’s going on now. My point is that was probably 50 different areas in the country that were called Little Dixie. You could also make the case that it was a bastion against the Confederates as the origin of the name Tigers shows.

Part of my point too is this had to be some thing that was “put into history” by the media. I doubt seriously whether people around that area 100 years ago said “yeah I’m taking a trip to “little Dixie” today to buy groceries.”
