shoves the dog in a crate and pokes at it repeated through the crate. The psychopath beats the dog when it messes in its cage since it can only get out when the psychopath allows it. After a while, he decides the crate takes up too much space, so he shoves the dog into a smaller one and continues to poke at it in the cage.
The psychopath not paying attention forgets to lock the crate and while walking by the dog runs out and mauls the psychopath. The psychopath gets up and acts shocked that the dog would maul him like that. Never had he mauled the dog. So the psychopath determines in righteous anger he is innocent and needs to kill the dog for what it had done.
