After being reinvestigated, It went down from 5 Level 1 infractions to 1 Level 2 and 2 Level 3 minor infractions. I would argue that this is a pretty harsh punishment for minor infractions.
Losing 15 wins (including the all time wins lead), a final four, big xii conference title (including the all time conference title streak). Plus 3 years probation. As well as the self imposed penalties of 3 scholarships, 4 game suspension, and reduction of recruiting visits. Its a lot harsher than it could have been.
I am not sure if I have ever heard of a team being asked to vacate wins without a Level 1 infraction.
