Schrader got 13 carries. Peat got 2.
Mizzou attempted 47 passes. I don’t have any problem being predominantly a passing team, but that is a ridiculous ratio.
LSU has been terrible against the run this year, and Schrader nearly averaged 10 yards per carry. The offensive line created great running lanes all game. The dink and dunk nonsense in the 3rd quarter was maddening. LSU obviously has a great offense so why in the world would your offensive strategy be to keep your possessions as short as possible? Whether it was a TD, punt or turnover, Mizzou didn’t have a drive that burned 4 minutes of clock the entire game. Ball went right back to their offense.
After 4 years, it’s clear that Drink just doesn’t like running the ball. He’s like a hyper dork that’s always trying to scheme for some super duper clever play that will result in instant TD. Drink and Moore need to let their athletes win these games. Get out of their way. If something is obviously working…keep doing it.
