Politics, but politics is the sole reason people even talk about him at all.

He was drummed out of the NFL because of racism. And it was racist for those seven quarterbacks to have had better numbers than he did in his last season.

If it weren't for racism he would be widely understood to be the greatest quarterback who ever lived.
