What can explain Trump and Trumpers?

A theory is only as good as it can fit the facts.
The facts are these:
-Trump and Trumplicans seemingly live in a completely alternate reality to the majority of us.
-They can not be reasoned with nor brought to experience
our shared reality
-they are incredibly unable to explain their departure from the rest of us
The leading theories:
Simulation theory (SKA the Matrix). WE ARE all just living in a simulation. Trumplicans were programmed different from us and CAN NOT see beyond their programming. Course the same would be true of the majority of us.
Bizzaro World pod people switch. This would be that some sort of interdimensional rift occured where a large number of people from a bizzaro alternate reality switched into our reality. Or perhaps we switched into theirs.
The Devil made them do it. self explanatory
Toxoplasmosis or alternate parasite or biological agent has taken control of the hapless hosts. Particularly
applicable to some posters.
The weak and the stupid theory. Trumplicans obviously are, but is that enough to explain the incredible obtuseness of Trumplicans? This is perhaps the leading theory.
