All of the crap you list in your post stems from a slow cultural revolution that has marched through the various institutions in the US. The only way it can reverse is from a slow cultural renaissance in the opposite direction.

That's it. That's how it changes for the better. A cultural renaissance toward freedom is needed. Hopefully, those that think they are in favor of limited government will actually start to support limited government (not want laws that control substances that people voluntarily put into their own bodies).
